Work Your Way

Work Your Way is a 1-year programme where we work with young adults to prepare them for working life. The programme consists of 3 days per week.

The first 8 weeks are based in the workroom. The remaining 36 weeks are spent with 1 day in the workroom and 2 days in a workplace that has been found based on your skills and ambitions as much as possible.

It is important that you have an idea of what type of work you want to do prior to starting this programme in order to get the most out of it.

We hope that by the end of the supported internship programme that you either gain paid employment, become a formal volunteer or are able to engage in another form of meaningful activity.

Our programme is based in Truro & Penzance, however, we endeavour to find the work placements close to home where possible.

A FREE programme for young people with an EHCP aged 16-24.

I have been supported with my personal independence, when I started the course I needed to be escorted on the train journey from Redruth to Truro, I now have the confidence to travel alone and my next step is to be able to buy my own tickets. I have also been able to live independently and move into my own accommodation.
